Afternoon Red Sox Delight – 7/25

Tonight's Tampa Bay Rays vs Boston Red Sox game has been postponed due to the inclement conditions. The game will be made up on Monday at 6:10 p.m., a mutual off day for both teams as Tampa doesn't come back to Boston this season.

Tickets for tonight's game can be used for Monday's makeup game.

After falling last night, the Boston Red Sox look to avoid falling out of first place tonight and gain a split of the four-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays at historic Fenway Park.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. The game will broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Rays television market, you can catch the game on Sun Sports. And if you don't live in either market you're in luck as the MLB Network will have coverage of tonight's game. And if you can't catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2013 Red Sox Radio Network.

John Lackey toes the slab for the 18th time in 2013. In his previous 17 starts, Lackey is 7-7 with a 2.95 ERA. He's made two starts against the Rays in 2013 and is 0-1 with an 8.10 ERA (9 ER/10 IP). He's made 21 career starts against the current visitors and is 12-7 with a 4.39 ERA. Three of those starts have come at the Fens where he is 1-2 with a 6.35 ERA.

Jeremy Hellickson hits the mound for the 21st time in 2013. In his previous 20 starts, Hellickson is 9-3 with 4.62 ERA. He's made two starts against the local nine this season and is 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA (4 ER/13 IP). He's made 12 career appearances (11 starts) and is 4-2 with a 4.14 ERA. Seven of those appearances (six starts) have come at the Fens where he is 3-0 with a 4.23 ERA.
