Afternoon Red Sox Delight – 9/20

After clinching a playoff spot last night, the Boston Red Sox look to clinch the AL East tonight in the first game of a three-game set with the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Blue Jays market, you can catch the game on Rogers SportsNet. And if you can't catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2013 Red Sox Radio Network.

Jon Lester makes his 32nd start of the 2013 campaign. In his previous 31 starts, Lester is 14-8 with a 3.75 ERA. In five starts against the Jays this season, he is 3-0 with a 2.80 ERA. He's made 28 career starts against the Blue Jays and is 14-7 with a 3.64 ERA. 11 of those starts have come at the Fens where he is 7-2 with a 4.08 ERA.

Esmil Rogers makes his 19th start (43rd appearance) of 2013. In his previous 42 appearances (18 starts), Rogers is 5-7 with a 4.47 ERA. He's made six appearances (two starts) against the Red Sox this season and is 0-1 with a 4.40 ERA. In seven career appearances (two starts) against the local nine, he is 0-1 with a 3.94 ERA. Two of those appearances (one start) have come at the Fens where he has no record with a 2.84 ERA.
