After sweeping the Evil Empire out of Boston over the weekend and then enjoying the day off on Monday, the Boston Red Sox continue their nine game homestand at Fenway Park. Tonight they'll play the first of three games against the Baltimore Orioles.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Baltimore Orioles market, you can catch the game on MASN. If you don't live in either market you're in luck as the MLB Network will have coverage of the game. And if you can't catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2013 Red Sox Radio Network.
Ryan Dempster makes start number 29 for the Red Sox in 2013. In his previous 28 starts, Dempster is 8-9 with a 4.70 ERA. He's made three starts against the Orioles this season and is 1-1 with a 2.50 ERA (5 ER/18 IP). He's made five career starts against the O's and is 2-1 with a 2.01 ERA. He picked up a no decision in his lone Fenway start back on April 10 when he allowed three runs (one earned) in five innings of work.
Scott Feldman makes his 28th start of the season. In his previous 27 starts between the Chicago Cubs and Orioles, Feldman is 12-10 with a 3.47 ERA. He took the loss against the Red Sox back on July 27 when he allowed four runs in five innings of work. He's made nine career appearances (three starts) and is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA. Two of those appearances (one start) have come at the Fens where he has no record with a 13.50 ERA (6 ER/4 IP).
