Left Coast Red Sox Delight – 7/13

After taking the first game last night, the Boston Red Sox look to continue their winning ways in the second game of a three-game set with the Oakland Athletics at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, CA.

First pitch is scheduled for 10:05 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Athletics television market, you can catch the game on CSN California. If you don't live in either market, you're in luck as the MLB Network will have coverage of the game (not in Red Sox or A's television markets). And if you can't catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2013 Red Sox Radio Network.

Jon Lester looks to get back on track before the All-Star break in his 20th start of 2013. In his previous 19 starts, Lester is 8-5 with a 4.60 ERA. He picked the win against the A's back on April 24th when he allowed three runs in 5.2 innings of work. He's made 11 career starts against the A's and is 4-3 with a 4.21 ERA. Four those starts have come at the dump that Al Davis built where he is 1-2 with a 3.71 ERA.

A.J. Griffin hits the slab for the 19th time in 2013. In his previous 18 starts, Griffin is 7-6 with a 3.94 ERA. He took the loss back on April 22nd when he allowed nine runs (seven earned) in four innings of work. He's made three career starts against the visiting nine and is 1-1 with a 5.29 ERA (10 ER/17 IP).
