Dan Straily (L), Clay Buchholz (R)

After being swept in a doubleheader yesterday, the Boston Red Sox look to get back on track tonight in the first game of a three-game set with the Oakland Athletics at Fenway Park.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the A’s television market, you can catch the game on Comcast SportsNet California. If you don’t live in either market you’re in luck as the MLB Network will have coverage of the game. And if you can’t catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2014 Red Sox Radio Network.

Clay Buchholz takes to the Fenway mound for the third time in his sixth start of 2014. In his previous five starts, Buchholz is 1-2 with a 6.66 ERA.  He last faced the A’s in 2012 when he picked up the win despite allowing six runs in 6.2 innings of work. He’s made six career starts against them and is 2-2 with a 7.90 ERA. Three of those starts have come at the Fens where he is 1-o with a 6.88 ERA.

Dan Straily will walk to the bump for the sixth in 2014. In his previous five starts, Straily is 1-1 with a 5.14 ERA. Tonight marks his first career start against the Red Sox and at Fenway Park.
