Afternoon Red Sox Delight – 4/17

Alfredo Aceves (L), Justin Masterson (R)

After winning last night, the Boston Red Sox look to continue their winning streak tonight in the second game of a three-game set with the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH.

My prediction is the Red Sox win this game 6-4.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. If you live in the Red Sox television market you can catch the game on NESN. If you live in the Indians television market, you can catch the game on SportsTime Ohio. And if you can't catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2013 Red Sox Radio Network.

Alfredo Aceves makes his second start (fourth appearance) of 2013 for John Farrell. In his three appearances (one start), Aceves has no record with a 6.75 ERA. He made four appearances against the Indians in 2012 and had no record with a 4.50 ERA and two saves. He's made six career appearances against the Tribe and had no record with a 2.35 ERA and two saves.

Justin Masterson gets the start against his former club in his fourth start of 2013. In his previous three starts, Masterson is 3-0 with 0.41 ERA. He took the loss in his only start of 2012 against the Red Sox after allowing six runs in six innings of work. Masterson has made five starts against his former team and is 3-1 with a 3.21 ERA.
