Former Husky Donald Thomas Signs With Colts

NFL free agency kicked off on Tuesday and the New England Patriots have lost one of their free agents to the Indianapolis Colts.

Former UConn Husky and Patriots backup guard Donald Thomas has signed with the Colts. No terms or length of contract has been announced.

Thomas saw action in all 16 games for the Patriots in 2012 as he played in almost 50% of their offensive snaps.

Thomas was originally signed by the Patriots on September 14, 2011 and had seen action in four games before being let go. He re-signed with them again on November 23, 2011.

The former Husky was a sixth round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2008. He started one game for the Dolphins in 2008 before being placed on injured reserve list. He played in all 16 games, starting 12 of them, for the Dolphins in 2009.
