Video: Folk’s Field Goal Gives Jets 30-27 OT Win Over Pats

Kicker Nick Folk #2 of the New York Jets hits the game winning field goal in overtime against the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium on October 20, 2013 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Just when it looked like the New England Patriots would get another chance in overtime, referee Jerome Boger made a call that is rarely ever made.

On that play, New York Jets kicker Nick Folk missed his attempt from 56 yards. But Chris Jones was called for a penalty that has never been called before in the NFL.

And it cost the Pats as Folk got a second chance from 42 yards and made it this time to give the Jets a 30-27 overtime win at MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
