PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the week ending Nov. 23.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Boatright was named to the all-tournament team at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off after he averaged 18.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in three contests as the Huskies reached the tournament final. He scored 19 points with six rebounds and five assists in a 65-57 win against Charleston, had 20 points with five rebounds and four assists in a 75-64 win against Dayton and scored 17 points with five rebounds and four assists in a 78-68 loss to West Virginia. Boatright, the Preseason Player of the Year in The American, leads the conference in scoring at 20.0 ppg.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Daniel Hamilton • Fr. • G • UConn

Hamilton averaged 14.7 points and 6.3 rebounds, shot 59.3 percent from the field (16 of 27) and shot 66.7 percent from 3-point range (8-of-12) to lead UConn to a runner-up finish at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. Hamilton had 15 points and nine rebounds in a 78-68 loss to West Virginia in the final.
