If you look at the UConn Huskies women’s basketball schedule and take away the exhibition games as well as Friday night’s game in Bridgeport, CT, they have only played one home game. And that was on November 23 against the Creighton Blue Jays.

Later on Sunday afternoon, the UConn women will play another “home game”. This time at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT against the UCLA Bruins at 5 p.m.

Their next true home game will come this Saturday at the XL Center when they’ll open up American Athletic Conference play against the SMU Mustangs. They won’t play again on campus at Gampel Pavilion until January 14, 2015 when they’ll host Temple.

Watch and/or listen below as head coach Geno Auriemma and Breanna Stewart talk about what it’s like to play “home games” at these different venues.
