According to published reports recently, McCummings has bulked up to 257 lbs and had been moved to wide receiver to get him on the field more to take advantage of versatility. We don't really know if new offensive coordinator T.J. Weist and head coach Paul Pasqualoni plan on running the Wildcat this season but if they were, they lost their No. 1 guy.
Casey Cochran is listed as the backup to Chandler Whitmer and if his high school numbers are of any value, he can run a little Wildcat here and there. But he hasn't done it at the top level as he redshirted last season.
It will be interesting to see what Weist and Pasqualoni do if they were planning to run the Wildcat. We won't know anything for sure until their first game against Towson State on August 29.
