Sunday Red Sox Delight – 4/21

After an emotional win yesterday afternoon, the Boston Red Sox will take on the Kansas City Royals in the first game of a day/night doubleheader at historic Fenway Park today.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. If you live in the Red Sox television market you can catch the game on NESN. If you live in the Royals television market, you can catch the game on Fox Sports Kansas City. . And if you can't catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2013 Red Sox Radio Network.

The over/under on the game is 8.5 runs and the line on the Red Sox is -150.

Ryan Dempster looks for his first win in a Red Sox uniform in his fourth start of 2013. In his previous three starts, Dempster is 0-1 with a 2.65 ERA. As a member of the Texas Rangers last year, he picked up the win in his only start against the Royals allowing two runs in six innings of work. The Harry Caray impersonator has made three career starts against the Royals and is 2-0 with a 4.00 ER (8 ER/18 IP).

Ervin Santana toes the rubber for the fourth time in 2013 as well. In his previous three starts, Santana is 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA.  He made one start against the Red Sox in 2012 as a member of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. In that start, he picked up the win after allowing two runs in 6.1 innings of work. He's made 11 career starts against the local nine and is 3-3 with a 4.13 ERA. Eight of those starts have come at the Fens where Santana is 2-2 with a 3.94 ERA.
