HARTFORD, January 30, 2013:  Connecticut Whale general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Whale has signed forward Andrew Carroll to a Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement.

CT WhaleCarroll, a fourth-year pro out of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, comes to the Whale from the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.  In 36 games this year with the Steelheads, the 6-0, 205-pound Carroll has 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points, the third-highest point total on the Idaho team, along with 45 penalty minutes.
