Who would have thought that with all the names @ 205, Machida is the man. Is his next fight Spider SIlva?

    • the beast of the octagon

the only person i agree with is mike, machida is one lucky SOB. every time he wins its by luck, if you watch the video again he landed one of teh luckiest punches in UFC which is what started the whole thing. machida will lose the belt in noooo time he is just LUCKY

      • Joey

Dude beast of the octagon u are straight up dumb how is that a lucky punch dude ur the most illogical person ever to say something like that same with u mike ur saying put someone good in there with machida hes got rampage next and hes gonna rock him he rocked tito ortiz who is good he rock thiago silva who is also very good fuck u both learn ur shit before u talk he just beat the guy that destroyed forest who is one of my favs THINK TWICE

      • jay

stupid comment. study mma first before commenting. luck is something like your opponent busting a knee or ankle while you’re doin nothing. KOs like this are setup by good technique and training.

      • Joe schlobotnick

I guess you dont actually fight and just watch it at home on your couch. You have no idea. 15 wins and 0 losses is not luck it is true skill, he is also the least touched fighter in the UFC. So again just cause he does not brawl doesnt mean he is lucky, on the contrary you are looking at the most talinted fighter in the UFC.

      • addicto

are you a retard or never heard of mma before, machida was a blackbelt in karate at 13 years old and those punches you call lucky punches where learn a long long time ago and plus he knows sumo, wrestling, jiutjitsu etc. etc. etc. welcome to the machida era. (ENTER THE DRAGON) BITCH.

      • Pemoili546

Lucky punch…Ha, looks like you and Helen Keller have something in common. It’s about time. I have been waiting to see Rashad get knocked out and who better than Machida. Don’t know how long he’ll keep the belt though.

      • badwaldsee

yeah right, dream on, dream on…. how many times did you take a punch to the head? at least once too many

    • Matt

No Silvas next is Forest Griffin Machida will end up fighting Rampage.

  • Gil

No, they are freinds, dont think it would happpen. Plus silva admits to getting worked over by Machida often during sparring

  • Machida #1 fan

Machida will now remain champ for ages……The way it should be. Rashad had no business being there. Idiot octagon dancer deserved to be put to sleep like that.

    • Matt

I agree with that Evans does not deserve to be in that octagon with Machida. Evans would lose again..if they ever find each other across the octagon again.

  • Always right

Lets not suck this guys balls guys, he is no real champ like an Anderson Silva or GSP. If you expected Evans to hold the title for the distance, you dont know the sport. Machida wont have the belt any longer then Evans did.

    • Jester

when i first saw Machida’s match against Sokoudjou i told people that he is the real deal..he’s gonna be a champion and 1 of the p4p best..no one believed me..now im telling you this..he’s gonna be a champion for a long time..i cant even think of anyone who can beat him from the LHW division..the closest guy i thought who could beat him was Evans, but he got KO’d! the guy has never been punched in the face! that’s how good he is! you obviously dont train MMA to make a comment like this..if you do MMA and fight in the cage, one look at how a guy fights you can already tell who’s scared, who has good precise punching, you has a good head movement, a good footwork and what not..

    • Matt

Are u kidding me Anderson Silva deserves to die he is the most boring fighter to watch im hoping taht he gets knocked out soon so we can finally have some exciting fights out of the middleweight class again. His last fight against Lietes was dumb i hated it so boring not all his fault but he could of knocked Lietes out with ease.

    • You wish

GSP is no champ either he got knocked out by a midget. Rashad needed to be knocked out. Now maybe he will go dance in a club instead of the octagon. Machida will have that belt for a long time cause you cant catch his ass.

  • Mike

That fag just got a lucky punch in he will get his ass kick if he steps in the ring with silva, rampage, or even griffin he is just a runing little bitch put him in there with someone who will cut the cage of on him and he is screwd he sucks

  • Jeezy

Machida deserved that win and was not throwing lucky punches. Rampage and griffin can’t compare to machida. As it stands, only silva can beat him.

  • King of the Cage

That cocky bad ass got laid smooth out. Machida Shut him down! Evans is a great fighter but Machida IS a modern Day Liviving Legend. Like him or hate him…Machida is here to STAY!!!!!!

  • afide

Great performance from a true martial artist. Patience, accuracy, timing, power and a firm resolved. Much of the ballyhooed MMA athletes idolized in this sport are not real martial artists. They are warriors, but not martial artist. Machida, is one from the rare breed of artists who stepped in the Octagon, Gracies, St Pierre, Silva.

Great boost to karate and other traditional arts. A big wake-up call too since it showed traditional martial arts can benefit from a major innovation to meet today’s challenges.

  • Machida #1 fan

Hahahaha All you fools that say he got lucky obviously are a little blind. Watch it again and you will see Machida wait you that straight left counter. Once that lands the fight is over. Learn the sport then wag your tongue.

    • Hardcore Husky fan

If Rampage is next, can he do better than Evans? Looks like Machida is a bad match up for him.

  • Brazilian Fighter

Lyoto is actually, together with Silva, the best UFC fighters. He has never LOST a round and also never left a fight hurt, that can’t be luck, sorry guys. This is the Brazilian ERA back to the UFC.

  • Danny

shit i had no respect for machida then started watching his fights and now know his style the dude is a good fighter the reason you and other people hate on him is because he aint a banger like rashad. come on he fuckin knocked rashad out. you wanna talk about lucky punches watch rashad’s liddell punch in slow mo he wasn’t even looking (not saying it wasn’t gonna happen anyway) awesome highlight, but not even looking. Anyway i have a knew respect for the runner i mean machida. smart fighter. who would want to get hit all the time.

  • rascalrat

lucky punches… thats mma all about.

  • Patrick Echevarria

Manny Pacquiao punch! perfect left hook!

  • big john

To call a person with such an impressive fight record “lucky” is just ignorant. Rashad Evans is too flashy and finally got what he had coming

  • Seth

WOW It still doesnt make any since, but everything i have herd was Rampage still gets the next shot. but a fight will the two most acurate strikers wouldnt be that bad of a fight. Damn Rashad.

  • booya

C’mon you bunch of Evans loving whiners! You wanna talk about lucky punches? Evans threw one of the luckiest punches in MMA/UFC history against Liddell! Machida has beaten the best in the business: Rich Franklin, Thiago Alves, Tito Ortiz, Sokodju, BJ Penn and now he just destroyed Evans! Machida threw a variety of pin point accurate punches. Machida has never been knocked down in a fight! I guess Machida has been lucky his entire unbeaten career…

  • Guilherme

    This is Brazil

  • evo

Been following Machida for a while now and i must say, this dude is phenomenal. This dude just rocked the LH division. I think this guy will stay unbeaten for a while. I don’t think Rampage, Griffin, Rua, and the other top contenders can offer anything that will threaten Machida’s style. I don’t see anyone beating this dude. His style is similar to Anderson Silva minus the dancing and fancy movements.

  • Star Struck

I’ve been following Machida for a while and he is one hell of a striker, watch the Ortiz bout, Machida was very accurate, while frustrating Ortiz. You cannot possibly say Machida has been lucky this entire time with an untarnished record (and face I might add). The same must apply to Rashad Evans (until now that is). Rashad was game, but Machida’s style is Star-Trek type of stuff, he blurs the line between offense and defense and these other guys in the LH division need to step up their game and learn some new tricks. Rampage will be worse off then Rashad.

  • T

Anderson Silva is a POS! His last fight was a freakin JOKE!!

I was hoping for a win for Evans but Machida took this one.

I think Evans was a little too slow and didn’t try to dominate first… Can’t say I’m Happy for Machida, I don’t think he’s that Good regardless of his record. I think Evans is a GREAT fighter and he’ll keep getting better after this one.

    I want a Rematch!

  • hawaiian mma

I am doing some serious LOL @ the two losers that said it was luck.Mighty funny that the luck punch sent sugar to the ER.It was patience Machida sat back and waited for him to attack them put him down where he deserved to be.

  • Jester

who ever says Machida isn’t good..well you obviously know nothing about MMA..you obviously dont train..if you really train MMA..at one look at the people in the gym you can tell who is scared, who is good, who is confident, who’s a poser who will quit in a few weeks.. who’s accurate..it doesn’t matter if MAchida didnt finish most of his matches, he’s a tactical fighter! if you “really” train and know MMA, you can tell how precise his punches are, how beautiful his head movement and footwork is..have you even ever seen Machida been punched in the face?? that’s how good his head movement is! This KO’d and destroyed Rich Franklin, Bonnar, and BJ Penn when he was young!! now he added Sokoudjou, Ortiz, T.Silva, and now Evans..if you say Machida isn’t good..your out of your mind! your just one of those guys who wear tapout shirts at the mall but clearly know nothing about MMA..the only thing you watch is UFC and occasionaly WEC..you just watch instructional videos on youtube and train withyourself! poser..

  • n8dwg8

you call that luck? he was beatin his ass for like 20 seconds straight then laid his ass on out..if you think thats luck then you’re just crazy!
