    funny for a guy who used to play in philly

    The Celtics were so good they scared the Rays. I think they even helped get that out. That is some kinda play – literally scary-good.

      It’s too bad the Red Sox aren’t playing at home on Tuesday. Be nice to see if we could scare anyone on the Angels too.

    A similar event occured on October 27, 1987. The Meadowlands would go nuts from time to time while the NY Giants were beating the Washington Redskins 27 – 20 because…the Mets were beating up the Red Sox for the World Series Title, 8 – 5 across the way at Shea Stadium. Phil Simms was none too happy.

    IIRC, this happened during Pats/Titans during the 2004 playoffs, when the Sox were beating up on the A’s. Keith Bullock (noted Yankees fan) complained about it after the game.

    Of course he was surprised — when was the last time a crowd could cheer over something he’s done?

    @Larry Brown
    Nice 7 months ago he won the world series, what a loser that Pat Burrell is.

    well if you all needed to know why…. Boston Bruins just scored a goal and the place erupted…

    • Ian

      actually sylvia, it was when the Glen “Big Baby” Davis of the Celtics hit the shot to beat the Magic.
