During the Dennis and Callahan Show on WEEI this morning, Boston Red Sox president and CEO Larry Lucchino confirmed that there will be changes to the road uniforms as well as the logo.
Jon Meterparel: Big announcement tomorrow night. A new uniform? Is that correct?
Larry Lucchino: Well there’s an adjustment to the road uniforms that will touch upon Red Sox tradition. It’s a little back to the future kind of thing and there will be some adjustments to the logo as well so both items are going to be announced tomorrow (Thursday, December 11).

It’s also possible that this is going to be new alternate logo.
We will know once and for all tomorrow night what the changes will be. Until then it’s all speculation and guesses. If we waited 86 years for a championship, we can wait until tomorrow night right? Right? Yeah, I didn’t think so either.

Why the hell would they do this? The old road uniforms were ugly and these are ugly too. It doesn’t make sense and I don’t get it.

If I had known that you were the one that posted the pictures online I would have given proper credit like I always do.
I gave the credit where I saw the picture. As far as the hat, I think it’s just a matter of both of us cutting the picture down in size because that was emailed to me as the original picture and i cut it down in photoshop.
Thanks for responding. This stuff just burns me…that’s all. We work real hard with this kind of stuff to give proper credit. Plus we had a couple of scoops this week have been flamed left and right so, i apologize for being a little raw. You responded and that is much more than most. Thanks!
Not a problem at all. I completely understand. A friend and I had that happen with our videos. So we started watermarking them.
Also, I just looked and I had originally posted the hat on Tuesday when I saw it at the Uni Watch blog.
