i’ve seen alot of fans of the pats from england so i’m not surprised the team is playing there…as for this weekends loss well i watched the san diego game and it looked like the same thing ….i think cassel has done a good job and if the team keeps him we have a good number two to brady…which i’m thinking it may be time for the pats to start thinking about protecting brady more if he comes back at full health next season… and resting him more late in blowouts etc….

London could be a good experience. I’ve heard the teams that have gone have enjoyed the week there. I think its better then the planned trip they had to China that fell through.

As for the game, Cassel was just awful yesterday. He had two INTs, 2 fumbles and a QB rating of something like 38. He also had 20 incomplete passes granted some weren’t his fault but a lot were.

Unless for some reason Brady isn’t able to play at the start of 2009, Cassel is gone. This is his audition for the rest of the NFL. Some QB poor team out there is going to pay him a lot of money to be an average NFL QB. It just won’t be New England.

People fail to remember this guy didn’t play in college, was a 7th round flier pick who was only “discovered” by New England when he participated in USC’s pro day for their seniors. He then was a four year back up and he was so horrid at times in the preseason people were calling radio stations demanding he be cut. NOW because he 6-5 in 11 career starts , two of which were very good, another 4 were good and the rest were eh, people want to keep him. There’s a kid wearing number 5 named Kevin O’Connell who is a third round pick last year for a reason. The reason is he is the heir apparent to Brady.

I give Cassel a lot of credit he’s played pretty well overall but Patriots fans (not you Keenan others out there) need to wake up and smell the coffee because when it comes down to it Matt Cassel can’t hold Tom Brady’s jock strap and Brady has three Super Bowl Rings and a MVP award to prove it.
