For those of you who enjoy the musings of Dennis Eckersley on the Boston Red Sox Pregame Show on NESN don’t you worry one bit. Eck will be sticking around for a little while longer as NESN announced today that Eckersley had agreed to a multi-year contract extension.
“We are thrilled that Dennis will continue to play a significant role in our Red Sox game-day programming,” said Joel Feld, NESN’s executive vice president of programming and executive producer. “He is one of the best studio analysts in the business. Dennis possesses both a keen eye for the game and a dynamic personality that make him a fan favorite.”
Terms of the deal were not announced.

It’s a good move. Eck is very strong in the studio and tells it as it is.
I love Eck when he’s on the show because of what you said, he doesn’t hold anything back.
Plus he makes the show more enjoyable as does Lou Merloni. At least we won’t have Ken Macha to bore us to sleep next season.
