Everyone out there always says that the Boston Red Sox fans aren’t gracious in defeat but I will buck the trend by wishing my heartfelt congratulations to the Tampa Bay Rays on winning the American League Championship Series and earning your first ever World Series berth.
Go out there and make the American League proud and beat the Philadelphia Phillies.
While we will have very little coverage of the World Series, you can check out what our friends over at Rays Index are saying about last night’s game and the upcoming World Series.

The unfortunate fact is that over the course of the season and the playoffs, Tampa WAS the better team.
The only truly aggravating fact about the loss is the messages I have been receiving from disaffected Yankees’ fans who are acting like it was THEIR team that just won the series, so happy are they that the Sox didn’t win.
BHG
Just remind them their team went home after 162, Joe Girardi is their manager and Joba is a drunk. That should bring a smile to your face.
Just tell them that Derek Jeter was watching the Texas Longhorns game from the sidelines while the Red Sox were still playing baseball.
Can’t say I wasn’t pleased with last night’s results being a Yankees fan. However, I’ll give the Red Sox their due for playing hard to the end.
I am relieved, however, that I can watch the World Series knowing the Red Sox won’t touch the trophy this year.
See y’all next season. Yanks in ‘09!
at least the sox fought till game 7 and thats all i wanted to see…i wasn’t to upset last night i actually felt like hey it was better than 2005 and 06 …but i see lots of changes this off season for better or worse
There will definitely be changes coming for the Red Sox in the offseason. I plan to put together something in the next day or two about that.
that series was probably one of the closest series that i have ever seen in MLB that was a great game & GOOD LUCK TO THE RAYS TO WIN THEIR FIRST WORLD SERIES
