Red Sox-Yankees Rained Out

September 27th, 2008 by Steve · 3 Comments ·

Today’s game between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox has been postponed.  It will be made up as part of a separate admission day/night double header tomorrow.  Tickets from Saturday’s game may be used for the Sunday night game only.

The day game will start at 1:35 p.m. and the retirement ceremony for Johnny Pesky’s uniform number is scheduled for 1:15 p.m.  The night game is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.

NESN will televise both games.

I didn’t think they would make them play a doubleheader on the final day of the season that didn’t matter. I’ll bet that second game lasts about 2 hours. Everyone swinging at the first pitch.

never ever be fooled by this it’s all about the Benjamin’s. Could you imagine if theSox had to refund 37,000 or so people all that money?

I know MLB controls the final weekend but I’m sure the Lounge Lizard was in someone’s ear with his “we owe it to red sox nation” bullshit.

So it’s all about Amalie aye?

I’m sure he was in their ear since I think the Red Sox can hit 3 million in attendance after both games.
