Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees. With the Boston Red Sox winning tonight, the Yankees have been officially eliminated from the playoffs for the first time in 13 years.

    What can I say, it’s been an awesome summer. After I watched last year’s celebration thinking that I’d give my right arm to be there, I decided to get myself there for the closing homestand this year – for considerably less than a limb (but not that much less).

    Now I want the guys to win the division, in part so that my game 3 ALDS tickets will be real.

    this is the first time Derek Jeter has gone home this early. Man that sounds nice.
