The Boston Red Sox disabled list added another player before the game on Friday night as they announced that Sean Casey has been placed on the 15-day DL with a strained neck. The move was made retroactive to August 20th.
The Red Sox will most likely announce a corresponding roster move after the game.
Casey is now the 8th player the Red Sox currently have on their disabled list.
