One of the highest ranked recruits ever to come to the UConn Huskies football team has left. The Huskies announced yesterday that Jarrell Miller has left the program for personal reasons.
Miller originally committed to the University of North Carolina but left there before school started in 2006. He then went on to Fork Union (VA) Military Academy before entering UConn in the winter of 2007.
Per the NCAA rules, he sat out last season as a transfer and worked on the defensive and special teams scout teams last year.
Miller would have competed for playing time at defensive tackle had he stayed with the Huskies.
It was also announced yesterday that the Huskies opening night game against the Hofstra Pride will be televised locally on MyTV-9. Kick-off is at 7:30 PM on August 28th and the game will also be available on SNY.
