Just when you think we’ve seen it all with Boston Red Sox outfielder Manny Ramirez, there comes this Manny being Manny moment from last night’s game with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
“I think I made the bloopers for life,” said Ramirez. “It was like I was swimming in a swamp right there.”
“I just got a bad jump right there and I missed the ball and that was it,” said Ramirez.
He can probably give up that dream of winning the Gold Glove after that play.

I can only imagine what people would be saying had Ellsbury reached under his crotch to grab the ball.
Manny needs to realize he’s not Ellsbury or Crisp and shouldn’t be diving for balls. He stays on his feet that ball is a single.
