Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Derek Lowe had a perfect game through 6 innings tonight at Dodger Stadium. LA’s Matt Kemp hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 6th to stake Lowe to a 1-0 lead at Chavez Ravine. Gregor Blanco of the Atlanta Braves singled to lead off the 7th and end the perfect game and no-hit bid.
We all remember Lowe pitched a no-hitter on April 27, 2002 at Fenway Park against Tampa Bay as a member of the Boston Red Sox.
Lowe signed with the Dodgers as a free agent after the 2004 season in which he was the winning pitcher in the clinching games of the division series, league championship series and World Series for the Boston Red Sox.
