On Friday night, Boston Red Sox fans worldwide were treated a to a special video of Jonathan Papelbon and Manny Delcarmen lip-synching to Milli Vanilli’s “Blame It On the Rain”.
This afternoon, NESN’s Heidi Watney sat down with Papelbon and Delcarmen to talk about where the idea of the video came from as well as what they thought of the video.

Update: Our good friend Texy over at Center Field unearthed another video from NECN about the real reason why they had to make the video.
It turns out someone in the bullpen broke a camera lens on a dare with a throw. Papelbon took the rap for the incident and the end result was the “Blame It On the Rain video”.
