The Houston Chronicle is reporting that former New England Patriots linebacker Rosevelt Colvin will meet with the Houston Texans on Wednesday.
Colvin played the last five seasons with the Patriots. In his time in New England he missed parts of two seasons with injuries. Last year he went on the IR in November after he reportedly suffered a ruptured achilles in his foot. Prior to this injury he hadn’t missed a game in 3 and half seasons when he went on the IR with a hip injury in his first season with the team.
Prior to signing with New England as a free agent in 2003 Colvin played with the Chicago Bears who drafted him out of Purdue.
The Texans are the fifth team this offseason to show interest in Colvin. As of yet it is believed no one has offered him a contract although he reportedly has passed at least one physical in his other visits.
