Boston Red Sox News & Notes – 6/30

June 30th, 2008 by Ian · 2 Comments ·

Normally when Josh Beckett gives the Boston Red Sox 7 innings allowing just 2 runs there’s a pretty good chance they are going to win. Unfortunately though, the once reliable Hideki Okajima has gone south for winter a little bit early.
Yesterday’s game marked the second straight time Beckett has gone out and done his job [...]

The Houston Astros may have won the battle last night but they haven’t won the war just yet as the Boston Red Sox will send Commander Kickass Josh Beckett to the hill this afternoon.

Picking Up The Blitz Ver 7.6

June 29th, 2008 by Steve · Comments Off ·

So when is a no-hitter not a no-hitter? Even I am not sure of all the various requirements for a no-hitter after they were changed several years ago and games we thought were no-hitters were no longer no-hitters.
The largest of the requirements is that the team that is no-hit has to bat in all nine [...]
