After Seattle Mariners starter Felix Hernandez hit two Texas Rangers hitters, former Boston Red Sox prospect and current Ranger Kason Gabbard did what any normal pitcher would do. He buzzed one of the other team’s stars in Richie Sexson (if you call overpaid and can’t hit a lick a star). I do have to say the pitch wasn’t close to hitting him but obviously Sexson thought it was.

Sexson was the only player ejected and most likely will be spending some time at home as I’d expect him to see a 5-7 game suspension, especially since he threw the helmet at Gabbard.
UPDATE: Sexson received a 6-game suspension. No word whether or not he will appeal but I’d expect him to.
