“My goal was just to try to hit the ball back up the middle. I saw it get by him, and then I saw Superman at second base. He made a great play and the rest is history.” – Vernon Wells
Cue the Superman Theme.

Lineups and other goodies after the jump.
Don’t forget balloting has gotten underway for the 2008 MLB All-Star Game to be held at Yankee Stadium. Let’s get voting to make the Boston Red Sox have a huge presence at our hated rival’s stadium. Make sure that you include Jacoby Ellsbury on your list by putting him in the write-in category.
Nick Cafardo is reporting that the Red Sox are talking with Sarasota about moving their spring training camp to there in 2012. The move would allow the Red Sox to have the major and minor league camps in the same place.
J.D. Drew’s quad didn’t get any worse since last night and Jacoby Ellsbury is feeling a little bit better. Both of them are out of the lineup tonight, leaving the Red Sox with three healthy outfielders. I’d have to think in a pinch you could see Julio Lugo out there as we did earlier in the season.

My choice would have been the vocal stylings of Michael Stipe of REM:
“I am, I am, I am superman
And I know what’s happening.
I am, I am, I am superman
And I can do anything.”
I thought of that one, but I liked the Superman theme for dramatic purposes.
His range is definitely related to his offseason tire workout.
That’s gotta be exactly what is Luke.
