The Big East Conference announced today the home/away opponents for the women’s teams in the conference. Each team will play 7 home Big East games and 7 road Big East games plus a home-and-home series with one opponent.
Shockingly enough but should come as no surprise to you, the UConn Huskies and Rutgers Scarlet Knights will face-off twice next year. It’s been a very heated of rivalry as of late and it will continue over the years.

UConn is ranked #1 by ESPN.com in a very early preseason poll. Six other Big East teams are ranked as well. They are Rutgers at #4, Louisville at #10, Notre Dame at #17, Marquette at #25, Pittsburgh at #27 and Syracuse at #30.
I know it’s early but next season is already shaping up to be a great one in the Big East Conference for women’s basketball.
