New Red Sox Wines From Charity Wines

A new set of Boston Red Sox wines will be unveiled on May 15th when Charity Wines introduces Vintage Papi, The Captain’s Cabernet and SauvignYoouuk Blanc. The wines are available for pre-order right now on the Charity Wines link above.

The proceeds of the Vintage Papi wine will go to the David Ortiz Children’s Fund, the proceeds of The Captain’s Cabernet will go to Pitching in For Kids and the proceeds of the SauvignYoouuk Blanc will benefit Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids.

Even if you aren’t a wine drinker, what better way than to support the players and their charities with a purchase of a bottle of wine. They would also make a great gift to someone who is a fan of the players as well as great addition to your wine collection.

Charity Wines also has a selection of wines from other teams including some New York blends featuring Yankees and Mets players as well as some Cincinnati Reds blends, Atlanta Braves blends, blends from some all-time greats of baseball as well as some blends from Cam Neely, Ray Bourque, Bobby Hebert and Dan Marino.

So if you’re interested in any of the blends, head on over to the Charity Wines website and place your order.

Hey Ian, thanks for posting about the wines! I thought I would let your readers know that I ordered the wines from last year and was pleasantly surprised at their quality because I am quite the wine snob! All three were pretty good at release, with the CaberKnuckle being the best both with food and drinking on its own.

They have all aged quite well in the past year but I would suggest drinking the Schardonnay soon. And I have found that empty bottles near my tv provided some great mojo in the postseason!
