Indians fans still not happy

Don’t forget with the Bruins taking on the Canadiens tonight in Game 4 of their NHL playoff tilt, the Boston Red Sox will once again be relegated to the NESN Plus channel, which means no game in HD tonight. Click here to find the NESN Plus channel on your cable or satellite provider. NESN will have the pre-game show at 5:30 PM.

Some drama involving Curt Schilling this morning on WEEI. It appears his doctor, Dr. Craig Morgan, said that Schilling had said he wanted to play for the Yankees next season. Schilling went on WEEI later to stop the rumors.

“[Schilling] called me when he was angry about a month ago and was having recurrent pain, and said ‘Listen, I want to pitch again next year,’ and [would consider] the possibility of the [Yankees] option,” Dr. Craig Morgan told Boston sports radio station WEEI 850 AM this morning. “He didn’t say he was going to do it, he didn’t do any of that. I think it was in part of anger.”

“Me wearing pinstripes, regardless of what point of the season or my career it would have been, is not an option,” said Schilling, who is currently on the 60-day disabled list with a biceps/right shoulder injury. “I can’t … think back to having that conversation specifically … it’s not an option. Never has been an option.”

Schilling even went as far as saying Morgan “misremembered” what happened. Now where have we heard that. It is what is though.

Here is the audio clip from Dr. Morgan with Dennis & Callahan.

Schilling also just checked in about the whole mess over at 38 Pitches.

The Indians found out why their closer Joe Borowski has no velocity on his fastball. It seems as though as he has a strained triceps and has been placed on the 15-day DL by the Indians.

A look at tonight’s lineups and batter-pitcher matchups after the jump.
