Just a few hours til the Red Sox kick off their game with the Detroit Tigers, so I have a few odds and ends to pass along.
I forgot to post this in the morning but Curt Schilling checked in over at 38 Pitches. He has a picture of his 4 rings up as well.
Bartolo Colon saw the doctor today and his oblique is still tender.
The portly right-hander is “still a little bit tender,” said Red Sox manager Terry Francona.
“That’s not unexpected. He will not be allowed to (throw) until he is not tender,” said Francona. “We’ll turn a negative into a positive and he can do extra cardio work until he can get back into a throwing role.”
Don’t forget, tomorrow night’s game will be on NESN Plus. Click here to find the NESN Plus channel on your cable or satellite provider. The pre-game show will still air on NESN but start @ 5:30 PM.
Mike Timlin will throw again tonight in Pawtucket and could be activated tomorrow starting up the debate of whether or not Bryan Corey, Javier Lopez or David Aardsma will be designated for assignment. Of course they could surprise all like they did with Kyle Synder.
