The Boston Celtics have completed a sweep of Texas with a 94-90 win over the Dallas Mavericks in the 4th game of the their 5-game road trip as Ray Allen hit a big three with just over 30 seconds to play to give the Green a lead they would not relinquish.

The Celtics started the trip by knocking off the Bucks in Milwaukee, then came into Texas where they beat the Spurs, snapped the Rockets 22-game win streak and now down the Mavericks as the Green finish the season 6-0 against the Texas threesome.

The “Parquet Posse” did their thing again as Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett had double doubles with nearly identical totals as Pierce had 22 points and 13 rebounds while Garnett knocked in 20 points and cleaned the glass 13 times as well. Allen who sat most of the 4th quarter to rest his heal injury had 21 points as the Celtics improved to a NBA best, 55-13 and have won 14 of the last 15 games.

Dallas, with the loss is now 0-7 against teams with a .500 or better record since they acquired Jason Kidd, was led by Josh Howard who had a game high 24 points, Dirk Nowitzki had 22 points and 19 rebounds and Jerry Stackhouse chipped in with 17 points.

The Celtics wrap up the road trip on Saturday night in New Orleans before returning home on Monday to face Philadelphia.
