Lebron James take your arm off the supermodel and step away from Tom Brady’s woman!You think I’m crazy right? Well according to some you might be correct but a last do not worry for James has teamed up with Brady’s lady, Gisele Bundchen, to grace the April cover of Vogue Magazine.
Why is this a big deal? Because I feel like I’m writing for the “Inside Track”.
Actually, James is just the third man to ever be on the cover joining Richard Gere and George Clooney in the entire 116-year history of the fashion magazine. And he gets to do it with his arm draped around the one and only, Gisele.
With Brady nowhere in sight, James dressed in a tank top, shorts and sneakers from his own Nike Clothing line is dribbling a basketball and screaming with his arm draped around Bundchen.
Vogue is featuring athletes and models in annual issue devoted to size and shape. James, who is 6-foot-9 and the 5-foot-11 Bundchen were a good pairing. Other athlete-model pairings in the mag include swimmer Michael Phelps with Caroline Trentini, snowboarder Shaun White with Daria Werbowy; and speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno with Doutzen Kroes.
James is no stranger to magazine covers having graced SI at age 17 and is currently with 11 other athletes on the cover of ESPN the Magazine’s 10th anniversary cover. He has also appeared on the cover of Men’s Health, Fortune and Black Enterprise.
With the Vogue cover, James follows in the footsteps of Gere, who appeared with Cindy Crawford in 1992, and Clooney, who also appeared with Bundchen in 2000.
But none of them can compete with Bundchen who has made more covers of magazines than any other supermodel in history.
