Now this is the type of headline we don’t like to see involving any member of the Boston Red Sox.
According to the Palm Beach Post, Red Sox scout Jesse Levis was arrested for masturbating in front of his window at his hotel.
Jesse Levis, 39, faces charges for committing lewd and lascivious acts in front of children under 16. Port St. Lucie police and U.S. Marshals obtained a warrant and arrested him in Melbourne, after the manager at the Springhill Suites told police what happened.
According to an arrest report, two girls told police they saw Levis masturbating at the window of his second-floor hotel room while looking out over the hotel swimming pool.
Police had Levis stand near the window of his room, so the girls could say whether he was the same man they saw from the pool. They said he was.
No official word from the Red Sox if he’s been relieved of his duties as a scout or if police made him stand naked when the girls identified him.

From the Clubhouse Insider:
Red Sox spokesman John Blake had this to say on yesterday’s arrest of pro scout Jesse Levis in Melbourne, Fla.:
“I talked to Theo (Epstein, general manager) and we’re looking into it. We take these things very seriously. We won’t have any further comment until we have a chance to look into all of the facts.â€Â
He misunderstood Theo when he told him to go to Florida and handle things.
From Nick Cafardo:
Also, the Red Sox informed me that scout Jesse Levits, who was involved in an exposure incident in spring training is still with the team and working in pro scouting.
Glad they to see they didn’t punish him for beating around the bush.
He clearly has a firm grasp on things.
He was always told dont bother calling just come over.
