The truck has officially left Boston. Can you believe 100 people braved the conditions to see it off this morning? Here are some pictures from the big event this morning.Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald talks about the options that Curt Schilling had in regards to his right shoulder.

Steve Buckley from the Boston Herald talks about how Schilling’s mouth and heroics will be missed.

Joe McDonald from the Providence Journal talks about what Dr. Morgan said about the possibility of Schilling never pitching again.

Terry Francona talked about going over to Japan in interview with the Associated Press.

“If they were all exhibition games, I’d be really excited because I’ve never been there and I love doing stuff like that,” Francona said in an interview with The Associated Press, “but because the games count, two of them, that’s our concern.”

Hideki Okajima was expected in Ft. Myers yesterday and Daisuke Matsuzaka is expected to arrive in Ft. Myers today. You can expect the players to start trickling in to camp in anticipation of Thursday’s reporting date for pitchers and catchers.

Loved the Rockies gear bag on the truck and the hotties in the Sox coats

Yeah I noticed that too. They must have left it there and the clubbies probably decided to make use of it.

One thing I forgot to add in.

The Red Sox and the Greenville Drive have extended their Player Development Contract through the 2012 season. With the Fenway Sports Group taking over Salem, VA, you can expect the Red Sox to sign a PDC with Salem for the 2009 season. This would give the Sox their two Single-A teams close to each other. Salem is a part of the Carolina League while Greenville is a part of the South Atlantic League.
