The Arizona State Police have netted themselves a New York Giants player for extreme DUI.
Adrian Awasom, a back up defensive end who has been on the injured reserve list since September 18th, was stopped at about 3 a.m. on Friday morning on Interstate 10 in Phoenix.
Blood test results aren’t yet available, but Awasom was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence and extreme DUI and was released according to Sgt. Tim Mason.
Awasom, who arrived on Thursday for the game, won’t be watching it in Phoenix as the team has sent him home.
Awasom played in the first two games this season, injuring his neck in the second game against Green Bay. This is his 3rd year in the league.
The Giants play the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Looks like he might be wearing pink underwear soon and become part of the chain-gang.
Kind of ironic after you posted in the last In the Red Zone about the toughest sheriff.
