Are They Hall Worthy?

December 14th, 2007 by Steve · 4 Comments ·

Steroids in BaseballSo there are several names in the Mitchell Report who could be potential Hall of Fame candidates, some like Roger Clemens, were considered a sure fire lock for a trip to Cooperstown. Now with these nearly 90 players being named does this change their chances for induction?

So in a new Sox and Dawgs poll we ask:

If you had a Hall of Fame vote would you vote for players who have been implicated in the Mitchell Report?

Vote in the poll on the left hand border and as always feel free to leave comments here.

It definitely tarnishes their image but based on when Clemens allegedly did this he’s still Hall worthy but I don’t think all the writers will be on board with that.

This is a direct quote from Tim Kurkjian who has said he will vote for Bonds and Clemens.

“Clemens is vehmently denying the accusations. He wouldn’t do this if they were true.”

Obviously Tim hasnt watched any video of Bonds or Vick.

Or what about Marion Jones who said publicly a while back that she didn’t use PED’s at all but now is a pariah in the track and field world.
